We moved to Tucson!
I’ve been in Tucson for 1 month and I still can’t get over the giant Saguaro cactus that greets me every time I drive into my neighborhood. It’s taken a couple weeks for me to find my footing, to start to carve out my own place in this brand new city and the new life that Allison and I have started together. It is so important to me that I feel like I am living my own life in conjunction with hers, even though it is her job that is determining what cities we live in.
In the first week alone, we attended a queer erotic dance show, hiked in a cactus lined canyon, and visited a fair number of breweries. We’ve found our new strength training gym, picked up our library cards, and decided on our favorite Trader Joe’s. We have a list of all the things we want to do before we leave this city in a few months (and it’s not a small list).
First impressions? The weather is gorgeous, the plant life is new and exciting, and the Mexican food is to die for. The city is very spread out, so it takes at least 20 minutes to go anywhere, but the city is also incredible bike friendly.
I’m looking forward to writing about all the places that we go; the best food, the coolest hikes, the street art that I find along the way.
Here’s to 2019!
